Lightening the Lighting Load
Interior and exterior lighting on campus constitutes a significant electrical power load on campus. Replacement of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes with higher efficiency LED lights reduces the electrical power demand, improves the lighting quality, and reduces the amount of heat generated by light fixtures, which in turn reduces building cooling requirements.
