FM Projects

Facilities Management shops offer a diverse range of services and capabilities to University of Arizona customers.  The pages linked below describe selected FM projects that showcase the depth and breadth of services and capabilities available through various shops, including project management services using outside vendors to provide capabilities and/or staffing to supplement shop resources.

Olive Street Underpass Repaving Project

The south approach to the Olive Street Underpass is being repaved to improve the aesthetics, provide a more durable surface, and enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety.

Classroom Locks Project

The new locks are intended for use in an emergency, when it becomes necessary for occupants to “shelter-in-place” in a secure space.  They allow an occupant to quickly lock the door from the inside without a key to prevent a malicious intruder from entering the room.

Water Harvesting (ENVS 454/554) Class Project

Facilities Management staff assisted students in construction of swales and basins to provide rainwater roof runoff to existing and new landscape vegetation.

Renovation of Cancer Center Rooms

Cancer Center Room 0964, an old unused Freezer Farm Lab, was renovated into a Laser Lab.
